SEMRUSH is one of those tool which I have been using for almost 5 years and so far this works as a complete SEO solution for me.
In last few months they have added many new features which makes it a complete SEO power suite. In this post I will talk about new SEMRUSH features which you must know. I have also added a link at the bottom which you can use to try SEMRUSH pro account for 14 days completely free.
Before that let me give you a recall of features that I have covered in the past:
- Using SEMRUSH you can find using what keywords your website is ranking for or any other site is ranking for.
- You can also add any webpage link and check which Keyword that page is ranking for.
- You can find high CPC Keywords
- You can find long tail Keywords
These were the few features which I have covered in the past and you can test drive all these features right now for free for first 14 days using this special promo link.
In this article I will talk about new features which were added in SEMRUSH after my earlier review, which will help you to further improve the search engine ranking of your blog.
SEMRUSH Site Audit features:
Website SEO audit is a recurring event and must have for any blog/website owner. When you do the site Audit, you get to know about many SEO errors/issues which you usually ignore. More over, this whole process is automated and you will get weekly report of your site audit.
What I do here is, every time I get my blog audit report, I fix all the errors and issues, and wait for next audit report to see how effective is my complete SEO of the blog. Just in case if you are wondering how this is helping me; ShoutMeLoud 82% of traffic is organic and this would not be possible without the search engine optimisation techniques which I use.
Their site audit feature is available via API too, so you can integrate it with your existing SEO tool or with any plugin.
Check Backlinks of your Blog
SEMRUSH also added backlink checker option and it’s pretty easy for anyone to analyse the backlinks. You can always sort the backlinks on the basis of when it was first discovered and get other important details like Anchor text, total number of internal and external links on that page, if the links is nofollow or follow.
By clicking on backlinks > Indexed pages you can also get a list of pages on your website with maximum backlinks. This way you can easily find pages on your blog with maximum SEO value. One interesting thing which I found here was, you can use this section to find all 404 pages of your website with backlinks. You can redirect those pages to either any relevant pages of your blog or to the homepage to pass the link juice. You can read my earlier guide on 404 pages and SEO. For redirecting, you can use WordPress redirection plugin.
Keyword Research feature:
In one of my earlier post, I have talked about how you can find high CPC keyword using SEMRUSH, and this Keyword research feature will help you to do a detailed research for your target keyword. What I like here is, unlike other keyword research tools, this is simple to use and you can also find the related keywords that you can target. You can also check the competition and Google trends of the keyword which will help you to quickly pick the best keyword for your project.
For now you can test-drive all these features for free for 14 days.
If you have not used SEMRUSH yet, I recommend you to create an account and try it now. When I first explored it, I was awestruck with the features and the way they made everything so simple for an end user. Let me know your experience with SEMRUSH so far!
